Also, I got a NIKKOR AF-S 50mm f/1.4G for Christmas I'm hoping it will be here before New Years but I ordered it at the worst of times: right before Christmas eve. I'm thrilled though.

It snowed in Louisiana last night and it was my first time seeing it, but it was so cold (major duh.) A friend and I rushed off to school and made snow balls with our bare hands. Horrible decision!

In other news, I'm taking the ACT Saturday and have midterms all next week, both of which I feel rather ill-prepared for. My GPA has slipped from 3.9 to a 3.5 on a four point scale, however, it's still a 3.9 on a 5 point scale with my AP classes but Mum still isn't all that happy with the C's I've been making in Algebra II. Math is not my subject and I just don't understand it as well as everything else. Bummer.

Christmas is almost here. I'm not really excited for it, but I've bought gifts for several people so far and am pondering ideas for a few others. David will be meeting my father's side of the family the 20th. According to my sister, if he survives one day with the lot of them he's a total keeper .

My sweetheart, AP Language teacher, and several other friends are in England until the 29th.


I've got a to-do list to keep myself busy till then but it's quite likely I won't get half it done and I'll sit at home with a bucket of ice cream, a box of Kleenex, and a book.

I feel like someone has my heart in a vice grip.
